Social media has not just facilitated but also helped in moulding or redefining the way we communicate or express ourselves.

People have accepted social media so perseveringly that it has become an integral part of our life now.

Social media has become easily accessible tools that enable Individuals, Business or security agency to not only just interact but also enhance marketing platform and constantly engage with the masses by a number of tools which includes blogs, Wiki, Discussion forum and social networking sites.

But each and everyone has own part of advantages and drawbacks depending on how the best we can engage with it.

Some of the major advantages are:-

Ease of connection:- you can stay in touch with friends, family at all the times from every corner of the world even if they are miles away from you.

Educational Purpose:- you can enhance your skills by sharing your ideas, knowledge with millions of people around the world. With the help of social media many Educational institutes, Professor and teacher assist their students by providing regular study material, quizzes, and keeping them updated about surrounding.

Business marketing:- It has a become perfect tool for the Business developers to brand themselves at economical cost than traditional marketing as everything is just a click or a post away. It enables a business to stay updated and track record of their customer requests and improves customer service.

Now, major Drawbacks are:-

Addiction:- People are becoming so addicted to social media as they spend most of the time on it and this leads to less interaction face to face with the family and being less productive and creative towards any significant work. Lots of people prefer online conversation rather than meeting in person which badly affects the communication skill and health speaking ability.

Privacy Exposure:-Social media by making information and data sharing public exposes security and personal information to the threat of infiltration. Online Bullying, also known as cyberbullying. It is the biggest threat among the teens spending most of the time on the social media as this leads them to getting harassed and bullied.

Credibility: There is no specific resource to check the credibility of the news and videos present on social media which leads the thought of innocent people easily influenced by freakish fake information.

Whether social media is boon or bane it depends on how we use it. No matter how much more information or enjoying through social media if we use it on the positive side it will give you fantastic response, on the other hand, you can end up losing valuable time on social media if you use it on the negative side.
